Community Dental Clinic

About Us

CDC Board of Directors:

Our mission is to provide low-income uninsured adults of Upper Pinellas County access to dental care and education through volunteer service and community partnerships.

We believe that every person has the right to treatment, regardless of age, sex, race, or religion.

In 2009, access to dental services was identified as the number one social service need in Pinellas County. United with a shared vision for providing affordable dental services, The Salvation Army, Clearwater Free Clinic and The Arc of Tampa Bay collaborated to establish the Community Dental Clinic.

Our clinic is a volunteer-driven organization that offers primary dental services (exams/x-rays, cleanings, fillings and extractions) and urgent care to adults in our local communities who meet the clinic's financial and residency requirements. Patients served at the Community Dental Clinic are primarily those who would not have the financial resources to afford basic dental care. Without access to care, small treatable dental issues can lead to more serious health problems. Our goal is to improve dental health through education, therefore reducing the number of missed work days and expensive, unnecessary ER visits.

The Community Dental Clinic is a nonprofit facility that relies on both professional and non-professional volunteer services along with strong community partnerships. Our services and facility are sustained through grants and private donations.
